IL - CMP \ PPP Postal Match

THE IL- CMP \ PPP POSTAL MATCH ( run by River Valley Sharpshooters) is open to all air rifle,
sporter or precision, BB gun  and air pistol marksmen including PPP.  The International category is even open to adults.  
The match director is Tina Odle, IL State Jr. Director for the CMP, National Coach Development Staff member and Level 3
rifle coach.  The match is unsanctioned.  This match originated as a local match for teams in IL, but has grown to include
competitors from across the nation.  The match was originally for juniors, but  Open\Collegiate categories have been
added for adult participation.  

The purpose of this match is to give marksmen the opportunity to compete on their own range, under match conditions,
while learning match protocol and rules and improve their marksmanship skills.   

AIR RIFLE
Collegiate \ Open
International Air Rifle
For adults submitting scores, the current USAS Rifle rules will govern International AR
3-P Air Rifle
The current NRA 3P Precision Air Rifle rules will govern 3 position rifle.
JUNIOR AIR RIFLE - 3P or Int
The current National Standard Air Rifle Rules will govern 3 Position and International Air Rifle.
BB GUN
The current NRA BB Gun rules will govern 4P BB Gun.

AIR PISTOL
Collegiate \ Open
The current USAS Air Pistol rules will govern Men and Women's Air Pistol
Junior Pistol (PPP)
Current Progressive Air Pistol rules will govern the pistol match.  
*Exception: Tie Breaking (see Match Director's Bulletin below)

In order to participate, simply fire the following course of fire :
International Air Rifle
     Men- 60 shots  Women - 40 shots
3P Air Rifle
    Precision Rifle        20 record shots in 3 positions
    Sporter Rifle           10 record shots in 3 positions
4P  BB Gun
    10 record shots in 4 positions

Open  Int Air Pistol       60 shots - men ; 40 shots- women
PPP Air Pistol        Unsupported International -  60 or 40 shots
                            Standing Supported - 60 or 40 shots
                            Basic Supported - 60 or 40 shots

*NOTE:  Match Directors Bulletin:  ALL TIES WILL BE DECIDED BY LAST SHOT STRINGS GOING
BACKWARD.  WE WILL NOT USE CENTER SHOTS.  
The match director reserves the right to adjust this match program to accommodate those wishing to participate, to include but not
limited to creating age divisions, shot totals where the rules do not specify, and award categories.  As this is an informal match, we will
make adjustments as necessary with fairness in mind.

                         
                         










You do not need to send in targets.  We will use the honor system in scoring accurately.  Please be sure that you use
and know how to properly use the appropriate scoring gauge for any values in question on targets.

I will use an PDF file to email match results and JPG file of your awards to the contact person indicated on the top of the
form.  You will be able to print and present them to your team.

There is no charge to participate.  Scores are due by the 1st of the month and will be posted to the previous month.  (ie,
October scores are due by Nov 1)   Each month is its own match, therefore, you may participate at any time during the
Oct through March season.

Awards will be a certificate showing name, team, score and category in each age group of each discipline.
